I have used Nelcan Electric twice, and both experiences were very positive. They are honest, responsive, and very professional.

The first time, we had a burnt fuse in our electrical panel that was connected to our stove. It was a Friday, but they still sent someone out to inspect the panel. He went to get the correct replacement fuse and came back to replace it for us. I really appreciated how quickly they responded, especially at the end of the week.

The second time, we had another fuse issue. Instead of sending someone out and charging us for a service call, they patiently guided me through the solution over text message, and I was able to fix the problem myself.

They are also very upfront and transparent about their rates and charges, which I really appreciate.

I had an outlet that I needed to alter. I sent the details with photos with a request for an estimate to many local electricians. Almost all responded saying they needed to see it in person and what their fee would be to come and look at it. Nelson was the only one to call me to ask questions and find out more about the issue. He ended up coming for an initial site visit at no charge. His assessment was thorough, he was prepared, organized and tidy and he patiently answered all of my questions. He was very honest and ultimately we came to the conclusion there was no safe solution. Although he didn’t end up modifying anything, I very much appreciated his professionalism, responsiveness and his willingness to try to find a solution. easy to book, quick to get someone on site. changed 3 light fixtures and put in 2 dimmers and a switch in an hour.

wish i had more thumbs to give more thumbs up, cleaned up and took away everything we didn’t need, after job was done asked to check out something else too and they did it without blinking an eye.
